Kaiperm Expanding to the Shadelands
Kaiperm Diablo Federal Credit Union is thrilled to announce their purchase of a 22,000 square foot building in the Shadelands development in Walnut Creek, near the Kaiser Permanente campus. The credit union was established in 1957 by Kaiser Permanente employees as a benefit for its employees and their families. Kaiperm Diablo FCU, offers its members a true stake in their financial well-being. Credit unions are member owned and have traditionally provided lower loan rates and are chartered to promote the financial success of their members.
“We want to make sure you are financially healthy,” said Kaiperm Diablo FCU CEO, Karen Introcaso, adding, “we want to provide our members with financial wellness and peace of mind, the way Kaiser Permanente strives to provide health, wellness and peace of mind to their patients.”
The team at Kaiperm Diablo FCU is thrilled with the plans for their new 6,000 square foot facility in Shadelands, which is targeted to open in May of 2019. Design has begun on an enhanced lobby and branch experience, as well as a training room and education center. Seminars on retirement, home purchasing, investing and topics related to financial empowerment, will be offered to members for free. The branch plans to be open six days a week and offer free parking. For the Kaiser Permanente staff already on campus at Shadelands, the new branch will be just steps away.
“We are so excited to be on campus and walking distance for our members,” said Introcaso. “This summer we’ll be setting up a table during the Farmers Market on Saturdays, and once we open the new branch, we’ll have a 24-hour ATM that is free to all credit union CO-OP members to use.”
